Brief Report of 10th National Council Meeting: Calcutta Feb 2019 by Mr Shelton Pyster, Calcutta

KEYNOTE ADDRESS: “God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart”   by Fr M V Sunni, Raiganj, highlighting on First Saturday Devotion, Mystery of Inequity, Eucharistic and Marian Devotion, the five blasphemies, repeat and renew the consecration to all, even indivudials, in small groups and communities.

At the inaugural Holy Mass, Archbishop Peter Machado assisted by 17 Priests, in his homily, challenged us at the homily that we have much responsibility to proclaim the Message of Fatima, as perhaps we have not heeded the Message. As St Francis of Assisi said: proclaim the Gospel at all times, if possible, use your mouth. Also, we are called to listen to the Word of God, keep it and do the Will of God in our life. He highlighted on “Mother Mary being the first disciple of Jesus” and bringing out the meaning of “MOTHER”.  He emphasised on just doing The Will of God in our lives

Reflecting on the spirit of Synodality, we must have a listening attitude. We pray and do penance for peace. That is why in the Fatima Theology, we make reparation on the First Saturdays for the public following Mother Mary who was not a private person, but offered Her Son for the world. Bishop Peter welcomed all to Bangalore to experience the joy of Fatima and prayed for those (delegates, observers, organisers, etc) present, their Dioceses and others who WILL START THE FATIMA UNITS by prayer and penance in the Spirit of Fatima for PEACE. Before lunch we had a group photo.
